A Kinetic Hydroponic PlanterIntroduction
BLUM points at the human tendency to interact or be closely associated with other forms of life in nature. BLUM is a home hydroponic system that is automated and “communicates” with the user through changing its shape and movements through inputs from sensors. This project is seeking to find the ‘right’ amount of technology that improves user’s mental health by providing a sense of companionship, responsibility, and nature. The analog and physical forms of communication between technology and user is an exploration into the idea of modern technology detox.
