Respiratory Data Wearable
FUMA-DATA explores alternatives to contemporary health trackers. Focusing on respiratory data, this project attempts to make digital information more relatable to the user without relying on a digital-visual display.
Inscense smoke has been used as a medium for purifying the body and the mind. Smoke is choosen as a fitting medium for the representation of breathing, which heavily influences our mood and emotional regulation. Through my exploration of manipulating smoke, three patterns stood out in particular. The capturing, accumulation, and the release of smoke provide a visuals that could be translated to normal breathing, accelerated breathing, and intervention of breathing to regain control.
