Glassblowing
Sculptural Lighting

Since glass is an organic material and seemingly hard to control, I wanted to use this uniquemalleability and flexibility to myadvantage. Allowing the material to guide its form. I wanted to bring structure and geometry back into the material, one can argue that this piece is almost architectural- a sense of spiraling skywards.

The sculpture inherited a life of its own towards its completion, and became an optical study for photography. As glass is the perfect medium for light, this study explores the interaction between glass, light, and color.

This study led to the discovery and capturing of different moments - frozen emotions- that exist within the piece.
